Complete Works of Swami Rama Tirtha - In Woods Of God-Realization - 10 Volumes


Described as “one of the greatest souls, not only of India, but of the whole world” by Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Rama Tirtha (1873-1906) was a living embodiment of the teachings of Advaita Vedanta. Swami Rama Tirtha visited the United States from 1902-1904 and was one of the first great Swamis to bring the message of Vedanta to the U.S., Japan and Egypt, following in the footsteps of Vivekananda.

In Woods of God Realization is a complete collection of his writings and lectures. In this ten volume work, Swami Rama Tirtha presents a practical and inspiring view of Vedanta and also discusses various topics such as God-realization, Vedanta, Christianity and Islam, war and peace, and India's destiny.

    wow...!
    i searched google for "in quest of god" to give to a friend of mine.
    found it in this blog, looked nice - so i said "let's see what else this blog has".
    clicked to the main page, and i see this post - and just recently i heard about Swami Rama Tirtha (it was mentioned in a book about Swami Ramdas) and wanted to read some of his stuff.

    this is a priceless gift. Sri Nochur Venkataraman, said in one of his discourse about this great soul. He has uttered this topic of book, i was wonderstruck when i browsed this volumes available in ebooks.

    I bought Swami Rama Tirtha's IN WOODS OFF GOD REALIZATION Vol 1 back in 2002 for under $30.
    I have not been able to find the subsequent volumes for under $100 USD.

    Thank you for making these volumes accessible to the masses. Swami ji's words are an important part of my sadhana, each story/lesson chopping away at the small self like a skilled sculptor, leaving only The Self carved in stone.

      Vijay Mohan,

      I think the publishers have added new materials in later editions of 'In Woods of God Realization'. Some of the new materials might entirely new (discovered recently) and the rest could be translation of Swami Ramatirtha's Hindi discourses. So you may check the Hindi volumes also for the new contents.
