Siva Samhita Sanskrit text with English translation - Srisa Chandra Vasu

Siva Samhita is a Sanskrit an ancient text on yoga, addressed by the Hindu god Shiva to his consort Parvati. It is one of three major surviving classical treatises on hatha yoga, the other two being Gheranda Samhita and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. It deals with abstract yogic philosophy but also includes clear instructions for performing asanas, breathing techniques, mudras, tantric practices, and meditation. The Siva Samhita is considered the most comprehensive and the most democratic treatise on hatha yoga.

  3. One question about this book to the admin, is it possible to get the scanned book, where at the end of 4th chapter we can find the Vajroli-mudra (aka Vajrondi-mudra or only Vajroli) which is described in the first edition of this book, published 1884 or 1887, really dont know. Because in all other editions it has been taken out because S.C.Vasu thought later it is an practis only for low level tantrics, so he not included this Vajroli-mudra to other versions of Siva-samhita. So now, as it seems, this version here is not full. Please try to find the first edition if possible, scan it, it would be great to have the 2nd file of it which is FULL, so we can have the whole teaching of Siva-samhita. Thank you!

  6. Please, Sir, would you upload for me the pdf scan of the 1882 including all sanskrit verses? I would be most grateful, as I'm triying to prepare a Spanish version of the Sivasamhita, and even if I can find the english description for vajroli, the sanskrit verses are still missing. Thank you!
